DuPont™ Nomex® MTP for Military Forces
Civil unrest…, riot situations…, IEDs… – today’s infantry is subject to an ever-increasing range of threats and requires protective clothing that can be worn with total confidence.
Nomex® MTP is a fabric that combines thermal protection with high mechanical strength to provide Multi-Threat Protection: flame-retardant and heat-resistant, it also helps to protect against fragments and offers exceptional abrasion resistance.
Nomex® MTP can be printed in most DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material) patterns, including demanding IR specifications, and provides thermal and physical properties similar to fabrics made of Nomex®.
35% DuPont™ Nomex®
2% DuPont™ Kevlar®
42% FR Viscose
1% antistatic fibre
Nomex® MTP is mainly used for uniforms where heat and flame protection is an additional need. It offers outstanding abrasion resistance and mechanical properties.
Has antistatic properties - fabric is tested in accordance with EN 1149-3 and addresses the electrostatic protection requirements of EN 1149-5 for protective clothing.
Protection and norms
Thermal protection against heat and flame (EN531, ISO/FDIS 11612).
Nomex® MTP can be printed in most army camouflage patterns. It has excellent colour fastness and can address specified IR requirements. Can be treated with vector protection to help protect against mosquitoes and other insects. Helps offer some protection against small low kinetic energy fragments such as residual fragments caused by an explosive device.
Mainly supplied piece-dyed.
